I recently discovered this death metal band called Ex Deo. They sing about Antiquity and Roman Empire specifically. This album sounds like the Dimmu Borgir's record "In Sorte Diaboli", and is pretty cool overall.

I was actually the first person to transcribe these lyrics onto the Internet.. Pro bono!

            Damned and divine
            Stand side by side, together
            No sense of time
They all think that they have forever
            A life in the pyre
            Or anointed water
            Your time has expired
            Don't cry for your father

            Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
            And fates are made
            [3x]

            Damned and divine
            Engaging in timeless nevers
            All sons may decide
Their path like a fork in the river
            A sad boy, the strong
            Aside for the liar
            The rivers are wide
            Don't slide, be the waters

            Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
            And fates are made
            [3x]

            Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
            And fates are made

            Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
            And fates are made

Youze guys like boring music. Here is a San Diego band I've liked for years.

Sorry, I've got a dark mood these days. This is great music.

Six Feet Under is the American version of Meshuggah. If you like the latter, you will love the former. They're better musicians, including vocals, in my opinion. The vocalist for SFU is Chris Barnes of Cannibal Corpse.

What really makes SFU stand out is the thrash element in their songs. Hearkens right back to the best of early thrash like Metallica, Megadeth, or Testament.

I listen to SFU when I exercise, because the energy in the music is so powerful, but still rhythmic and well produced. You can actually hear the lyrics, and the riffs are second to none.

Some of the best metal riffage in the last 20 years is from this band, if you ask me.

Some of their best work? A cover of a KISS classic that is better than the original.

I've found the answer to this question depends on when and where you were born. This is my idea of "hardcore", but you might have a different perspective.

My sons three and this is pretty much the only song that ever gets played apart from the occasional "I like to move it move it".

I hate you for posting that, and I sympathize. All three of mine went through Wiggles phases. Now, my wife and I are learning pop music via the kids' Musical.ly accounts. It's a sad, mad world:

Consider for a moment that there is no meme about brown-haired, brown-eyed step children.
