I recently discovered this death metal band called Ex Deo. They sing about Antiquity and Roman Empire specifically. This album sounds like the Dimmu Borgir's record "In Sorte Diaboli", and is pretty cool overall.

I was actually the first person to transcribe these lyrics onto the Internet.. Pro bono!
Damned and divine
Stand side by side, together
No sense of time
They all think that they have forever
A life in the pyre
Or anointed water
Your time has expired
Don't cry for your father
Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
And fates are made
[3x]
Damned and divine
Engaging in timeless nevers
All sons may decide
Their path like a fork in the river
A sad boy, the strong
Aside for the liar
The rivers are wide
Don't slide, be the waters
Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
And fates are made
[3x]
Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
And fates are made
Then comes the day
When we shine bright as the sun
And fates are madeLast edited by Pship Destroyer; 11/29/2016 7:24pm, .

What really makes SFU stand out is the thrash element in their songs. Hearkens right back to the best of early thrash like Metallica, Megadeth, or Testament.
I listen to SFU when I exercise, because the energy in the music is so powerful, but still rhythmic and well produced. You can actually hear the lyrics, and the riffs are second to none.
Some of the best metal riffage in the last 20 years is from this band, if you ask me.

Some of their best work? A cover of a KISS classic that is better than the original.
