My favorite book on boxing. I've written about it a lot here.

Did you intend that for the Listening thread.

        That's what I figured.

Jimmy's Music Club in NOLA was it for me and Gwar. Once was enough...

NIN at the State Palace, now that was a hell of a show. Back when Trent was still weird. My GF at the time was a fan. She tried to get us tickets to the mosh pit, but they were sold out.

We both were glad she didn't once the show got started. And she was a punk-rock kinda chick who loved mosh pits.

I used to see him at Alternative Videos on Magazine Street. Appears to be closed now. The old gay guy who ran it probably croaked.

I'd go there for something to watch after doing Anchor Steam and Jack Daniels boilermakers, at LeBon Temps Roule.

I'm actually headed back to the Starland Ballroom tonight to see Zoso, the world's greatest Led Zeppelin tribute band.

They perform a dead on perfect replica of the LZ stage performance, complete with costume and note-perfect solos including the entire drum solo from Moby Dick. 4th time I've seen them. Will post some pics later.

              Speaking of pits..

So in the sad, silent watches of night
The lonely pathway envisions my sight
              Echoes of laughter
              And boundless cries
So here I wander under infinite skies

                I am jealous.

I have seen Tori Amos 3 times, though. <3

(edit) that profile pic on my YT for the NASCAR drive... that's me with Sarah Blackwood. I love me a hot chick musician.
Consider for a moment that there is no meme about brown-haired, brown-eyed step children.

Tori Amos got me laid at Southern Baptist bible camp when I was 17.

Without going in to specifics, I would have guessed that you were much older than me. We can't be more than a couple years apart, though.

Sabbath cover band just ended. Mrs Rabbit almost has a heart attack when I tell her the next band, Black Dawn, is Finnish death metal band (as in the Satan worshipping, church burning kind).

Oops, turns out that band is The True Black Dawn. They had to change their name because the American Black Dawn (NYC/NJ metal band) sued them.

Good old fashioned normal metal. She's much happier. Mostly.

Led Zeppelin was one of my favorite concerts. There's a story here but will wait until on the computer. 1977 IIRC.

You need to see this band then.

I checked, no OK dates but a bunch of Kansas City, MO and CO dates

                          Worth travelling for.
