Pity for being snookered so bad by Lenin and the fact that they really were fighting an evil regime, and contempt for propping up the highest body count strain of oppressive political ideology that the world's ever seen.

They'll use the support of anarchists to take power, then attempt to crush us just the same as any fascist would. Just look at what the bolsheviks did to anarchist Ukraine after the white army was defeated.

That said, I think the days of calling for civility and decorum are over for the time being. Fascists and nationalists are no longer using euphemisms for their abhorrent ideas, they just say it or loud now. They are here, they are willing to crush us, and we're going to have to fight them at more than the ballot box in order to survive. Populism politics are going to be a fact of life for at least the next decade or so. People are going to have to choose either right (race and nation) populism or left (solidarity and class) populism.

If they send a bunch of idiot frat boys out to beat up cornered stragglers be sure the cameras are there. Fuck, every single person should be wearing a GoPro at those protests or counter protests as long as they know how to keep their hands clean.

Take that "Unite the Right" rally nonsense. They did themselves infinite damage and drew the attention of national law enforcement. History repeats itself again and again. The old Klan is just like the new klan. Stupid, backwards and determined to ruin everything they touch.

On the other hand, if they take up guns and try to do something criminal akin to a coup, well, that's a different story but that's a few years off. Not so far though if people keep sitting on their hands when they shouldn't but that's another conversation.
