Freestyle Wrestling and HS Wrestling are the same things right?

nope, the scoring is different. essentially, in hs wrestling the guy on bottom is expected to be more active, in freestyle he'll pancake and play defense.

I learn wrestling for combat not sport, I learn it from my friend on the wrestling team at my high school.

Freestyle: Just about ANY throw, slam, and takedown is allowed. Points are most often given just for simply exposing the opponents back by braking the 90% barrier when they are perpindicular to the ground.

Folkstyle: Restricted takedowns, points not given unless the back is 75% of the way on the mat. Pins are less easy than in freestyle as you have to stay down for a 2 count essentially rather than for a 1 count(less than a second) in freestyle.
