Well folks, we're coming up on another ridiculous month meant to cater to the fragile sensibilities of a group of minorities, Black history month. And I have to ask myself, why? (Naturally, I am aware of the answer, it's a rhetorical question really).

Therefore, I want the month March to be now known as 'White History month.' Where we will do nothing but pay homage to outstanding white people and their great accomplishments in history. Hey, do you suppose there's enough months in our calendar year to accommodate all the other races?

Next, I propose the creation of the United Anglo-Saxon College Fund, to aid the white community in building a stronger and more vibrant nation for the future prosperity of America. I'd also like to see an American White Film Festival brought to fruition to strengthen the independent white filmmaking community.

How about a magazine dedicated to whites titled, 'Ivory?' That would be an industry standard and a sure winner...

It's no less sick than the notion of a black history month.

Ahh, those clever white guys. This must be the same strategy employed when they tricked the Indians into selling us Manhattan for a handful of trinkets. (Nods sagely)

Hmmm, it was no different from the day before, the only difference was that I was off the day previous. Why do you ask?

Was wondering if you had any particular protest to it being a holiday...or special observance day.

I would go along with a day of observance perhaps, but a holiday, nah. I don't know how old you are, but I remember when it used to be a regular day, but Blacks would abstain from going to work.

I always felt that was wrong, maybe I'm just the wrong color.

Probably a lot older and a great deal wiser than yourself.

I wonder if any other nations in the world have something similar to Black History Month?

I would think that if our school systems did a better job acknowledging the lives, histories, and contributions of black americans we wouldn't need a black history month.
