Wow.

Culled from another forum "offtopic.com" from user TriPinTaZ.

Or style is mixed with a heavy core in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. I really can't say its one specific style. I did not know you could not have a belt system in this style. I wonder what the other 1000 Black belts in the system across the nation are going to do if they find out their belt is a fake!

The link to the discussion sends me to a log-in page. Can you give the name of the Forum and thread title?

Oh yeah. You have to login, but that's not really important. It also costs $10 to post there.

But yeah, I'm trying to get him to join up over here.

basically they're giving out belts in "mma."

So are they calling the style MMA or are they just vague?

I'm pretty sure they're just vague. I've met Lavallee, and I watched part of a class at their headquarters school. I never heard or saw any reference to their style being "MMA."

They refer to it as "Multi Style Martial Arts" -- it is Ke?po, combined with a lot of other things repackged as a new system -- nowhere on their site do they call it "MMA"

There is a rival school in my town that gives out Black Belts in MMA. The even have little kids that claim Black Belt status in MMA.

I didn't see any claims to MMA on that Web site.
