I have no idear if this has been posted previously. I attempted to do a search but came up with pages of nothing more than unrelated threads. If this has been posted previously, I expect the usual round of "search function n00bs". I would feel insulted if you didn't, actually.

Here is the site http://www.bullshido.info/

The title of this website:

About the Bullshido sportist cult and the harassment

Here is the first paragraph:

Bullshido.net is stated as a group of Martial artist who wish to uncover fraud and corruption in the Martial arts community. This would be something that would do the public a great service, if it were true. I am 100% for exposing fradulant, untruthful instructors in the Martial arts community as I dispise the false marketing and deception for monetary gain or ego inflation. This group, however, are all Martial Sportist whom use the forum as a sick means of enjoyment by tormenting, harassing and slandering everyone who is not a sportist. In addition, they use continuous profanity in every other sentence on their website. Profanity from the very rules of the site to every childish and violent blogs listed. In essence, Bullshido.net is a Martial sports website that is deceptively using the words Martial arts. On that website they can be anything they want, hence, they call themselves Martial artist. In reality, they are children sportist and some older adult sportist (instructors). This is another means for Martial sportist to deceive the public.

So apparently bullshido.net is a cult, and we are but a bunch of "sportist" followers hell bent on destroying the good names of instructors such as Ashida Kim.

Oh, and at the bottom of his page:

Is the Bullshido name trademarked or copyrighted or whatever? If so it makes this last statement of his somewhat ironic.

Let's see here:

Far Hills, NJ: Genshin Ki Dojo - Master Christian, 10th Dan? - No BS Martial Arts (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=58569)

I hope we get some entertainment out of this guy.

Probably not. It would be counter to the whole point... A product name that becomes too generic can no longer be protected (c.f. refrigerator, Jeep, Coke, hoover, etc., in different stages of genericisation and in different areas of the word); since Bullshido.net clearly encourages the use of the word in a generic sense to refer to bad martial arts, it would mean that if it ever were trademarked, the site would be actively working toward destroying its own trademark protection.

It is trademarked and we do pursue violations like this.

...people really just don't get it.

I hope the word "cult" used to describe an internet forum tips off random visitors to the bullshittery of the site, and I'm willing to bet any person worth their weight in **** visits this site and sees Le Truth if they hear about us from that site first.

In case anybody's curious, here's the individual-in-question's website:

w w w . m a r t i a l a r t s e n l i g h t e n m e n t . c o m

Seems he's moved his page since the article in the OP's post. Too much negative publicity?

surely the link is

http://www.martialartsessence.com/

Since it says at the bottom it's martial arts essence copyright.

Also "80% of the moderators are children 18 or younger"

Do we have any moderators who are 18 or younger? :5propelle Jnp?

I don't even think 8% of the visitors are 18 or younger.

I'm right: http://www.quantcast.com/bullshido.net#demographics

hahaha, well said.

Also, that demographic study is interesting. I guess the constant joke scare off most under 18 people.

Good to see the site is full of well educated people (outside of MA).

Surprised at the number of women though. Higher than i would have though.

You can participate in the Martial Arts by:

a.) Fighting in a sport
b.) Fighting people in the streets (generally illegal)
c.) Pretending to fight and hoping everyone takes you seriously despite this.

So you're either a "sportist", a sociopath, or a schizoid.

MrBadGuy

Actually, a schizoid wouldn't care if anyone took them seriously.

So you're either a "sportist", a sociopath, or a schizoid.Do you consider "fighting in a sport" to require competition, or would hard free sparring, and occasional full sparring in class suffice?
