View Full Version : Best kimuras in MMA

2/17/2009 12:52am,
I was thinking about it, & the kimura can often seem like a kind of boring submission, from cross sides or closed guard, it often lacks the visual drama of some of the flashier subs but there have been a few time when it was used in MMA with spectacular results.

The first fights that come to my mind are:
Sakuraba vs. Renzo Gracie
Fedor vs. Kevin Randleman
& Karo Parisyan vs. Dave Strasser

Are there any other examples of dramatic kimuras that are slipping my mind?

Saku vs. Renzo too.

Karo Parisyan vs. Dave Strasser

I still hold this as the golden standard of finishing a fight with judo.

A thing of BEAUTY.
