View Full Version : Mae Mai Muay Thai

8/24/2008 2:37pm,
I'm posting this on Newbietown because this it's a "look at this" kind of thread.
What do you think of this demonstration of Mae Mai Muay Thai made by and italian Krabi Krabong master named Valerio Zadra?

I've heard he's a good master and some of his student tried some muay thai competions here in Italy (don't know if they were succesful, just rumors on some forums).

You can't judge a martial art from a video, but it looks a bit like a bad copy of Ong Bak, despite the fact that most of the techniques showed could be very effective in the streets.

Howewer I was disappointed... maybe because I've read on his site (http://www.krabikrabong.it/) the usual "this martial art is too deadly for competitions" and that pissed me off.

The lineage looks clear.... well, what do you think of it?
Here's the video:

I would have to see some fee-style sparring before I could say it looked legit.
This was a typical demo and nothing too special.
Have any more videos of the school?
