I have trained in boxing and Okinawan karate but am brand-spanking new to BJJ, MT, and FMA. I just wanted to get my first post out of the way so the site will stop telling me I haven't posted yet.

So Leopardus, you decided to go ahead and register huh? Cool. Don't forget to review your dojo (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=83).

Welcome aboard, Leopardus! The Bullshido staff would welcome you personally, but the thing is they’re busy keeping the peace, so they’ve apointed me, a bot, to pat you on the back and assure you that in no way will you be harmed during your stay here at BS.net. Your views on the martial arts, your philosphy, maybe even your entire reason for being will be challenged, shattered, reorganized, melted down, and forged into something new and shiny, but we swear it will only hurt a little bit… at first.

Be aware that it will come back in a while, saying something like "We notice you haven't posted for a few weeks". If you want to browse without the various banners popping up, you'll need to post regularly (once every week or two, I think, but not sure).

Thanks, Slideyfoot. I'll read them all.

I have been visiting Bullshido on and off for five years. When I decided to start training again, I consulted this site before I chose my new styles. Right now I have all the fervor and excitement of a new student, so I thought I might as well jump in all the way this time. I have "trained" for short times at a few McDojos along the way, and I am a big believer in the stance this site has always taken to oppose the pretenders.

By the way, I read in the Terms that staff does not like for users to have more than one username from the same IP address. I likely am in violation, though it has been so long that I have no memory of my former name or names. Is bringing this to your attention all that is necessary, or should I do more?

You want this one instead if it's brought up?
