On Jan. 23rd, 6pm PST on the National Geographic channel, the hour long Original Productions show featuring the Dog Brothers premieres. It's titled "Fight Club: No Limits". Most of the footage was taken from the Summer 07 Gathering and the weeks leading up to it. I'm one of the fighters featured in the show. You can also read a little blog piece I wrote for the show here (http://ngcblog.nationalgeographic.com/ngcblog/2008/01/physical_ritual_of_the_fight.html) on the National Geographic Channel blog page.

Small problem with the blog is that they changed the word 'exorcise' (to expel a malignant spirit) to 'exercise' (physical exertion - btw, if you didn't know that, go back to elementary school), which messes up the sentence. I'm sure they thought they were helping me by correcting a spelling mistake, but, there wasn't one. Damnit!! Oh well...I'm gonna be on TV!!!! YAY!!!!

Aloha, Poi

Video teaser clip (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/videos/player.html?channel=1805&category=4488&title=05016_00) is up on the National Geographic site. The segment features Candidate Dog Pound on his road back from surgery into the Gatherings. He is a big man who hits very hard. He's also a hell of a nice guy.

If you pay close attention, you'll see a very brief clip of me getting hit across the back of the skull and dropped in my double stick fight with Cyborg Dog.

I'd love to see the Dog Brothers do their own version of "The Ultimate Fighter."

Another clip titled "Anything Goes (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/videos/player.html?channel=1805&category=4488&title=05042_00)". I get some face time.

I just watched it the other night with my kung fu bud. It was pretty cool. Too bad there's no Dog Brother's presence here in the midwest and I'm too broke to move out west again.

It's also too bad it's just one show. I'd love to see a series about them.
