First there was mind, bollocks and kickass moves. Then there was human weapon.
Now there is this...Fight Quest:

It's airing later this year, apparently.

How many of these programs are they going to make?

better this than another xma special

It actually looks better than Human Weapon.

PS
Mind, Body, and Kickass moves was an excellent series.

So far I think Last One Standing has been by far the best competition show out there.

Definatly looks better then "Last One Standing".

They should produce one where a competent martial artist takes lessons from a fraud, then interviews him "To Catch a Predator" style then kicks his ass on camera. That I would watch.

I might be wrong, but he never covered MT or BJJ. I watched kali, wing chun, pro wrestling, random kung fu styles, dim mak, and sum ther stuff but I never did see a MT or BJJ one.

You are correct.

Fight quest will be different in that each participant will spend the whole period training with one master, so we'll be getting less of a grab-bag of history and more of a look at the training process.

As many as it takes to make you understand that Ninjer-itsu is t3h d34dly and m0st p0w3rful ub3r 4rt in t3h w0rld.

Also: Human Weapon is evil, it brings your hopes up with an episode on Judo.... then crushes it by showing grown Japanese businessmen playing samurai in their backyards with e-bay armor.

Last One Standing: Too soon to tell.

Kickass Moves: FUCKING AWESOME. Whenever I question my constitution on this Crusade against Crap-tasticness in MA and thoughts of "Why am I doing this?" start to creep in, I watch their dim mak-super "I kill you wiff death scream" episode and I buckle down and keep trudging.

nah, the best Mind, Body one was the one where the samurai sword master dude jerks the other guy around to drop his testicles.

I just want them to make a show exactly like Human Weapon, but starring Don Frye, Bas Rutten, and Ken Shamrock, traveling around the world to take on all comers. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I dunno...I'm just getting tired of
watching anything on martial arts these days...it's strange,
I never thought I'd say that but I just feel saturated
with it...

and why does that guy scream the word 'kali' - jus because he's practicing it?
He sounded daft. Try screaming the word 'kung fu', or 'ninja'. It also sound daft.

Haven't gotten around to watching any of this show yet. Is it actually good, or just good because it provides the comedy factor of watching Bullshido and LARPers taken seriously? I just watched a youtube clip of the segment on dim mak and it was pretty preposterous.

I quite enjoy Human Weapon, despite the occasional obvious crock of **** or dumb comment (*cough* Bill *cough*).

Fight Quest looks interesting, but shouting "Kali" just doesn't have the same effect as "I got Joo-Jitsoo!"

:icon_scra ...... Ah!

Well....
The well put-together scenes with the amazingly scientific approach on variables and anatomy both make splendid supports for the extreme wealth of knowledge brought by these highly acclaimed and incredible athletes that the show brings together.

Never before has such a masterpiece graced with not-so-silver screen of my TV that carried with it a sense of justice, science, fight, and perfection.

I nearly creamed my jeans when they introduced the stunning array of styles brought together and then did cream them when they showed how easy and simple it is to scientifically examine all aspects of these arts. Such as how dangerous the magnificent art of ninjutsu is by examining how the well aimed strike from their illustrious guest could explode your heart.

I only wish I spoke two languages so that I could write how amazing this show is twice.

Seconded.

Maybe even without the "taking lessons" part...

Although acting like a newb, making the fraudulent "master" put his/her heart into explanation and demonstration would be perfect preparation for the face he/she is going to make at the moment they'll get their ass handed over to them by their "student"...
Lovely concept. :new_vampv
