Hi, I'm a noob, as it says, my style if any, right now is Fiore Dei Liberi Research and some drills done out of a Book. I guess you could call that style if you want, I don'know. Well, I'm a long time lurker here, like to read to ****-talking on threads. It's pretty entertaining when you have nothing better to do.

So Tyrsmann, you decided to go ahead and register huh? Cool. Don't forget to review your dojo (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=83).

Fiore Dei Liberi was a Martial Artist that in the late Middle Ages, I research his style and life and whatever else to understand his Martial Art better since I want to eventually practice the stuff in his manuscript.

Do you have any links to more information on him, where he lived what he did etc?

Also Angry Spastic is doing research on world martial arts I beleive, he may have some information, or be interested in any information that you have.

well I'm sorry my friend I can't translate it of the top of my head like that, I only speak english. but if you look through through an inprogress AEMMA translation of Fiore De Liberi you might be able to find heres the translation I was talking about
http://www.aemma.org/onlineResources/liberi/liberiHome.htm. But don't be surprised if it looks alittle different since their are three different versions of his work out and about. Whcih is the oldest, not sure, since I'm still doing research.

That is an intersting link. So how do you go about putting what is in the manual into practise? Do you include the unarmned grappling also?

Well I plan on attending WMA seminars that focus specifically on Fiore Dei Liberi or teach anything that is applicable to his stuff mainly. I practice the Posta(guards), and some footwork drills. I want to start practicing the grappling but I don't know how to fall safely, so thats out of the question, and I don't have a training partner, which a bitch about grappling since to practice it takes two. I'll probably end learning the Longsword and single sword first, since Longsword and single sword are something I can train using solo drills. I could do the Daga sections, but much of the wrestling applies to the daga. In all honesty I'd rather go in a straight line through the manuscript, and there are schools that teach it's contents, if I remember correctly the Chicago Sword Guild teaches this stuff, I'll end heading there some day. But right now I gotta finish college.
