I'm posting this to get rid of that announcement at the top of all the forums.

I've taken classes in a few martial arts ( kyuki do 3 years, shaolin kempo 1 year, judo 3 months). There arent' many good schools in my area (just a bunch of TKD schools and I'm not really into that art), so I'm waiting until college to try aikido.

Welcome to the Bullshido Forums DunkelAnanas... Make sure you review your dojo (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=83) and add it to your user control panel so you can get the http://www.bullshido.net/images/dojoreview1.gif icon in your user info bar in your posts.

We'd be unrepentant if there was something to be legitimately repentant about. We're RIGHT. :)

Oh, and welcome to Bullshido.

Hi DunkelAnanas!

What did you think of Kyuki-Do?

Compared to the Judo & Kempo you did?

I have not seen it before (I am UK based) but we have HapKiDo

schools over here that do Yudo/Judo so I guess they would be the closest.

Kyuki-do is one of those combo martial arts made up in the 70s. Its alright by too much like a McDojo style art. It was no where near as great as judo or kempo, but I had to quit those because I had to commute 50 to take them and that got old.

Don't do Aikido.
After reading the "How do armbar Aikido Edition" I can see why not. I was under the impression that aikido was a grappling art, but apparently it is a bunch of DBZ wannabes. Thanks for the tip, Kwoww.
