View Full Version : Win a fully guided bear hunt in Ontario, Canada with UFC Heavyweight Champ Tim Sylvia

2/20/2007 5:38pm,
UFC Heavyweight Champ Tim Sylvia is the man!!!

I didn't know there was much of a bear population in Ontario. I guess I should be thankful towards them for making it safer!

This is almost as funny as when Big tim was selling a PS3 for $1000 on E-bay.

I would pay $1000 to hunt Tim Sylvia

If I win this hunt can I leave my bow at home and just sic Tim on the bear?

OK, I'll be the honest one:

I would totally go on a bear hunt with Tim Sylvia. Going to Canada to hunt bear is cool enough, but I would in fact ride Tim's nuts and bug him about MMA the whole time. I would not make fun of him if he brought the belt along, although I would be quietly embarassed for him if he wore it in the field.

Hunting is cool. Hunting exotic game far from home is cooler. Hunting exotic game far from home with a UFC champion is cooler yet.

Lets take a look at the tale of the tape here.

Ursus "The American Black Bear" Americanus

He stands at 6 feet long and weighs in at about 450lbs. He's a worldclass striker with heavyhands, and has some outstanding ground skill. It should be noted that each of his paws has 5 strong claws for tearing, digging and climbing. He's got KO power in those hands, with one blow being enough to kill an adult elk. We saw some of this power in his last match, against a couple of lost campers in the woods. He's coming into this fight against the champion hoping for a quick KO.

*Go to the interview*

"Grrr-(cut over by translator) Tim is a powerful man, but I'm gonna win this fight quick. I wanna keep it standing, but if it goes to the gound, I'll finish him there"

Now lets go to Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia

Tim stands 6'8, giving him the reach advantage, while maintaining a much trimmer 280lbs. He's also a K-1 level striker, who knows how to use his reach, and quite possibly a world class grappler. He's defended his title several times, and is confident that tonight, he will do the same.

"I'm just gonna do what I always do."

The American Black Bear vs. The Maine-iac. Who will win tonight? Stay tuned for UFC 72 "UFC Gone Wild!"

*Fade Out*

Yes, would have been better with Mike Goldberd and Joe Rogan overhypping them even more.

Don't make a Dick Cheney joke, Don't make a Dick Cheney joke...

In all honesty, if you're into hunting, it sounds pretty cool.

honestly, i think it would be absolutely fucking hilarious if he wore the belt the whole time, or at least when the camera was around. it's a running gag as is, and it'd be a good show of self deprecating humor if he played it up.

boring in the cage is one thing, no reason to be boring outside, too...

With any luck, Sylvia won't be UFC champ in August.
