Ok, we've seen Kimbo, and the guy has two sledgehammers on his hands and he's a pretty big guy.

Now from what Wikipedia had reported (before it was edited) about Kimbo, is he wants to join the UFC (or maybe K1 or Pride). And he's also having private lessons with grappling trainers to prepare for it. However its said that his arrest earlier in his life, may have contribute to him having a hard time getting in.

Now lets pretend Kimbo did get in.

Would he be any good? I mean, if he can lay one of his heavy punches on someone, it would be lights out and also presuming that his grappling training will help him against fighters (like Ganonn) who know grappling, or give him some sort of leverage....

Though I'm surprised the Gracie's haven't challenged him to show him size doesn't matter....

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the guy, but he indeed has powerful punches.

So what are your thoughts if he did happen to have a professional MMA career? Would he be good or not?

I think if that guy had a ground game he would be tuff to beat. His heavy hands would give him a sporting chance against alot of guys in my opinion. There is a guy that fights for the f.c.ff and sportfight named Delon that has beat alot of local guys with better technique just because he hits like a mule! However I'm with Alex, I don't think he will fight at this stage of the game.

Anyone who can even halfway fight (e.g. Rich Gannon) would slaughter him.

That said, Kimbo vs Sapp would be a good 'un!
