I like these guys . I have seen this clip ( or one real close to it ) and a number of other Daido Juku clips before . I think those face masks create alot of bad habbits and maybe even dangerous reliance on things like head butts and taking face punching like some of those guys do ...

but yeah good stuff . I LIKEE :eusa_danc

Not bad, not bad at all, I like it.

Is Daido Juku some kind of KK spinoff?

I love when they knock the guys down and pretend to head stomp them. But seriously that looks like mega fun. I could do without the headgear though. I hate wearing headgear.

KK meaning Kenpo Karate, then no. Just found it when it was posted on another board and thought it was cool. These guys hit, kick, throw, and grapple like it was all second nature, you gotta dig that. This is how I train my guys, but the great majority of Kenpoists have a hard time trying to step up to this level LOL.

ClydeKK meaning Kyokushin Karate. Why do you consider them TMA?

Heh, my thoughts exactly.

That looked pretty good. I tend to agree with the headgear though. Headbutting can be effective, but not for everyday use.

Those ground stomps were kinda funny. For a moment, I though the guy really did it.

Best daido juku video I've seen. I didn't realise their nage-waza and newaza was as brutal.

That's the judo type throwing you just know fucks people up in competition.

Any one know of daido juku in the Uk? I've looked but my google-fu is weak...

Traditional Martial Arts.I know what it stands for, the question is, what's traditional about them?

Any one know of daido juku in the Uk? I've looked but my google-fu is weak...I tried to find some last time this video came up. I don't think it exists. I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could prove me wrong.

From their website:

In 1981 Takashi Azuma who is a '77 Kyokushin All Japan Champion founded Karatedo Daidojuku. Our mother art is Karatedo, but we also incorporate grappling and submission training in order to be well rounded martial artists as well as for self defenses.

This I have heard on other McDojo sites. Of course, knowing it's a Kyokushin spinoff, and after seeing the video, I'd say that these guys are not McDojo in any mean.

Anyway I get pissed anytime somebody labels Kyokushin (or its spinoffs) 'traditional', because those who do usually do not consider MT or boxing 'traditional' (despite being older).
