lol just read through it - well done for standing up with him for longer than you did last time, it's a pitty you didn't beat him up a little more...but well done. It doesn't sound as if he could kill you though lol...sounds as if he couldn't really even beat you, and this time you got a little revenge....but er not enough.

Very well written too IMO <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Totally the first one, although this one was more fun to experience. Originally we were going to do it on the roof (!!!), which would have been wicked-sweet due to the light rainfall and cinematic lighting, but the crowd was won over by the prospect of stadium seating and trash bags of popcorn.

It's actually really interesting to watch how much I change as a fighter with each match I get into. There's always a huge, several-month waiting period between fights, so I have a lot of time to reflect on what I need to improve, and train with that in mind. In the last fight, Pezmar wasted me with his Thai kicks. After training for about three months, I could finally launch my own offensive on the guy. I've known since my first fight that timidity and nervousness are my biggest weaknesses. If I can get over that, I should be able to hold my own. There were a lot of times during the fight that I KNEW I could've hit him with a roundhouse (a couple times, as if to taunt me, he got into horse stance), but held back for fear of retaliation. If I had been more aggressive, I think my strategy to disable his legs would've been moderately successful.

well, i hope you find some1 else now he's gone...but I prfer seeing the improvements people make, which is why I like the second story better (oh, ok and it's written a little better from what I remember, IMO.)

Did you ever try taking him to the ground?

Boyd

No. The area in front of the theatre is hard tile, definitely not where I'd want to be unless I REALLY knew my ****. And while I think I may naturally be a better grappler than striker (just because things are a lot slower paced), I've never been formally taught anything. I mean, I know about the mechanics behind triangles and armbars and chokes and whatnot thanks to the Internet and books I have, but I'm not going to try out an untested move in the middle of a fight. Especially in front of all my coworkers.

I dunno about the ground being slower than stand-up. It can get pretty hectic.
