The Midwest's most extreme mixed martial art event returns to the Mid-America Center Saturday, Dec. 3, with Victory Fighting Championship XI. Headlining the all-star professional card will be current undefeated VFC light-heavyweight champion Jason "The Hitman" Brilz against K1 and Shootbox champion Jeff "Big Diesel" Ford.

Brilz is the reigning champion and has been headlining the VFC since its very first event, dispatching every opponent that has been placed in front of him.

His brutal combination of striking technique and world-class wrestling has molded him into the perfect mix for a mixed martial art fighter. His opponent, "Big Diesel" Jeff Ford, is no stranger to world titles.

In addition to being Frank Shamrock's current Shootbox light-heavyweight champion, Japan's X-1 Ultimate Fighting Champion, the 2001 USKBA Small Heavyweight Champion, 2002 ISKA Small Heavyweight Muai Thai Champion, and a two time K-1 veteran, Ford is a personal trainer on VH1's reality series Celebrity Fit Club.

This is the most experienced opponent that Brilz has ever faced in the VFC.

The night's remaining seven professional fights will bring together the absolute best fighters that the sport can produce. VFC: DEMOLITION will also feature Spike TV's reality hit The Ultimate Fighter's Josh Rafferty.

Mixed Martial Arts is a mixture of all the martial art styles and is the convergence of striking, grappling and submission techniques, allowing fighters to use a variety of different disciplines to defeat their opponent. Fighters can win by knockout, forcing their opponent to tap out (submit) or by referee stoppage, and are held in an ominous 20-by-20-foot steel cage. The competitors are all professional athletes, and all of the matches are fully sanctioned by the Iowa State Athletic Commission.

VFC: DEMOLITION will mark the Victory Fighting Championship's 11th professional event and is the highest ranked professional circuit in the Midwest.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the action starts at 7:30. Tickets are $75, $55, and $25 (plus applicable fees) are on sale now at Mid-America Center Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at (402) 422-1212.
