View Full Version : EVEN MORE COUNT DANTE ("snort ,gouge & burn")

Whoa, that count dante/john keehan guy was obviously hooked up with some damn good coke back in the day.

Here are some more discussions I read about him:

here's a quote from one site :
Controversial self-appointed Master of the 'Death Touch'. Very outspoken and even somewhat prejudiced towards Oriental Martial Arts Masters claiming they were capitalizing on the mystique of the Martial Arts. In the 1960's and early 1970's he was involved in disputes with other studios in the Chicago area, one of which resulted in the stabbing death of Jim Koncevic (1970). Dante died in 1976 under somewhat suspicious circumstances. His student Frank Ryan took over the helm of Dante's organization as well as adopted Dante's self-proclaimed title as 'The World's Deadliest Man Alive!'

a general one about "bad martial arts books":

this one refers to dante and ashida:

A definitve article detailing a brief history and bio of these people (the dux/ashida/dante & other frauds "complete list and bio") would be great, anyone got an idea? I'll draft one up otherwise.

From what I gather, dante was into thuggery, and seemed to have a fetish for eye gouging and face ripping , he taught criminals and thugs how to do this to unsuspecting, untrained "victims", and liked to burn schools down. My sneaking suspicion is also that he was a cokehead, and probably got amped before he fought people (a classic "trade secret" of the MA, *little bit white powder, special chi invincible warrior*).

I guess I have a kind of perverted, warped, depraved, respect for him.

so remember folks "SNORT, THEN GOUGE, THEN BURN"
