So I've tried two different pairs of headgear. One kept falling over my eyes and blinding me (not good). The new pair stays on my head fairly well but chokes me every time I try to tuck my neck, I had the same problem with my old headgear too.

Anyone else have this problem with the strap? Can anyone recomend a headgear that will stay on my head fairly well and NOT have a strap that seems intent on crushing my trachea?

Oh, you guys are referring to earguards. I thought were talking about full headgear for boxing/sparring. That's very different. Nevermind.

I've been using Halo headgear by Cliff Keen for a few months and it's served me well. https://www.cliffkeen.com/shop.cgi?product_id=89 Every time I put the thing on it feels a bit strange, but I almost always forget it's on after just a few minutes of wear. It stay on just fine and certainly doesn't have me gagging. The only complaint I might have with it is if I throw it on in a hurry it pushes against my hair so that it stands up at odd angles and I feel like a fool, but that's a whole other issue...
