Found some clips of Shooter. Have you seen it here? It shows that neutralization, whole body coordination, relaxation and sung, in Taiji qigong are not ***** ways of training.

Here is demo of a good Taiji guy demonstrating some basic technique-

Seriously, I have seen several of your posts and you either have to be a determined troll or seriously deluded. Nothing in those clips and especially not the technique demonstation is at all convincing to anything.

It annoys me that a couple minutes of my life was wasted on watching some guy in a field repeat a part of the same moves over and over and yet another less than practical "demonstration" of the awesome powers of a relaxed, non-resisting partner get devastated by ancient patty-cake.

I just really hope you are a troll rather than a total moron because at least as a troll you are successful in annoying me to the point of response. If you take this sort of thing seriously though, I am not sure the mental damage you must suffer is recoverable.

Let's put it this way, when SHarm finally dies, the averange intelligence rating of the human race will go up a notch.

Well, I think it's Shooter anyways. Never met him, but apparently he, his club, and students have proven Taiji's effectiveness in MMA competition according to people on the net.

Taiji is more effective on a rigid, resisting opponent, whos's using strength

As opposed to the old ladies with osteoporosis on which is normally trained.

There is no way practicing movements alone in a field is going to be effective. Additionally, the Chen demo clip you showed does not in any way appear to elicit any confidence in effectiveness since there is not even the smallest bit of reality in application there.

1) Attackers will not run up, and then lock arms rubbing each other
2) In the clip shown, there was no covering or protecting the face and numerous open shots were present
3) suddenly snapping out to do a throw against an opponent in the middle of soft tai chi movements is not a realistic practice method either.

I cannot make any claims against effectiveness of taiji from experience, but I can say that nothing you referred to in those links proves your points of valid effectiveness or toughness of training.

Okay, people on other forums are saying Yang Taiji is not good, or for health only. All I can say is that in my experiece it is martially oriented, with an emphasis on push hands, stepping patterns and stationary, with legs inside and outside, and two person drills and sparring. I don't know to what exact extent Taiji is useful against or in San Da or MMA though, as I've never witnessed such a battle.

In defence of Serious Harm, he's a fucking imbecile who should never be allowed to breed.

If you want to know if Taichi works, ask Jekyl. He came to the UK throwdown and mixed it up damned well with everyone else.
But I think thats because he actually trains against resisting opponents.

I couldn't open the link that Serious Harm posted but I have had the pleasure of seeing him and at least one of his students in the ring.

I am guessing the clip was the one of him 'skipping' through the forest. I am also sorry to report that his "frolicking in the woods" technique was pretty clearly represented in the MMA victory I witnessed. It made for a very nice entry and he established rear mount really quickly and without much apparent effort. I am guessing the clip was the one of him 'skipping' through the forest. His other fighter used the 'corn grinding' exercise very nicely. Very nice punching combos from that one.
