I was just wnodering how many of you folks are fortunate to have a job that lets you train on the clock. Or a job where you can sneak some in. If so how do you train?

I used to work in a warehouse that only had a handful of employees, so when there was a break in the work I'd sneak off to a corner and practice my TKD patterns. Sometimes i'd get caught out ha.

Aside from that there were plenty of things to practice kicking and punching on.

i work from home a good deal of the time, have a workout room in my home, and also live 5 blocks from my dojo, so yes i can train "at work"

I just started a new job on the third, one that I telecommute to 3 days per week. The time I now don't spend on commuting (90 minutes x 3 days per week) I do cardio. Because I am fat and old :D

I was doing the work before. But getting that time back by not commuting has made me a lot more consistent.

My current job is about 90% down time, unfortunatly I don't have enough room to do my Patterns properly or any tornado kicks. I did work in a tire shop at one point which was great. Tires make great punching bags and those metal buildings are great fun to climb. We also had stacks of old foam fills for tractor tires, and of course old tractor tires which made a great obstacle course for lunch breaks. The only time I got in trouble there was when I was using the car lift to stretch. Apart from the time my boss saw me climbing I -beams like James Bond.

Omega does teaching ever interfere with your own training goals?

I work as a personal trainer, so working out on the clock is all up to me. I find it frustrating from time to time, to get in my workouts without a non-client gym member asking me a ton of questions. Fortunately, I can go to the gym anytime I want to workout.

Omega does teaching ever interfere with your own training goals?Hell yes. If nobody new shows up I get to train with my advanced guys. Fortunately for me all the instructors and coaches at the gym have allowed me to start training again. I might actually do some light competitions this year.

Being a P.E teacher has those perksDude, really? I don't envy you. How do you keep those kids motivated under public school rules? (assuming it is public school)
