when I was six they sent me to religion class. they told me there were two ways to pray: hands/fingers clasped or hands flat together pointing to the sky. I thought the latter was the obvious choice, you can knife hand much faster that way!

We didn't have krotty, but we all developed our fighting technique by watching pro wrestling to learn novel ways to spike each other into the grass.

Gary Larson has put several martial arts-related themes into his Far Side comics, but I'm not going to post any because his publisher goes after sites that reproduce his comics.

A search for "far side karate" usually brings up several. :-)

Can't you post them if you list a disclaimer, or source?

Basically, Larson's cartoons are the same thing. Wooden invaders and so forth.

Looking back at it today, I'm quite happy that I never broke some kid's neck when doing something like a piledriver to them.

In elementary school I thought I invented waki gatame. It worked pretty well in scuffles with the other kids.

By 11 I had stabbed jnp twice and shot at him with my Bear Silver Mag compound bow a few times.
I had clubs hidden in multiple locations on our subdivision lot to aide in my defense and or escape.
We had some chucks but he disarmed me too easily with those. I was always a club/staff guy personally.

We werent dreaming it, we were living it.

Me as his training, try it out on younger brother dummy- and Him as my treacherous, abusive, arch nemesis antagonist.

Good times.

My dad does not approve of martial arts study. He knew a kid that supposedly attended a martial arts school and became a bully that messed up kids for no reason (in a church, no less. According to my mom, the kid had problems already and teaching him how to fight wasn't a great idea to begin with). So of course, my father adamantly refused to let me or my brother attend karate classes which we begged and pleaded for, especially after watching an especially good episode of power rangers, dragon ball z, or of course the 3 ninjas movies.

So I was the kid flailing my arms wildly, beating up putties and putting an end to Lord Zedd's reign of terror. Then my nephew saw the Matrix when he was about 10 (making me 13), so he and I had kung fu fights at every opportunity. We'd wake up at 6 A.M. and beat either each other up or imaginary armies of Mr. Smith's, my code name being Red Dragon and his being White Tiger. We were cool.

My Thundercats boner, it's pointing to the sky like the Sword of Omens.

You missed out. The hands-clasped position offers it's own array of offensive maneuvers:
