So, i've just made a 43 mile circular drive to discover that those fucking Kung Fools booked our gym for a seminar without telling us Jits guys to cancel our rolling session.

Bitches will be getting choked.

I figure fighting a group of chunners would be like water torture, its not the force as such, just the constant trickle of chain punches wearing down your sanity.

Tell their sifu he absolutely SUCKS, and call him out on Super Bowl weekend. If you win, he leaves kung fu, if he wins, you leave martial arts forever.

When I was doing kung fu in college, we had the exact same problem with the tkd and dance classes. I think its more of a "people are dicks" problem than a "kung fu people are dicks" problem. Kung fu people are usually dicks though.

So let me get this straight. You made a long drive to get to class, and when you got there another group had taken over your jujutsu class' time slot in the gym? Instead of doing anything about it, you turned around and went back home?

That makes you a little bitch who rolls over in my book.

My krav school rented some space to the local chunners. No problems with them whatsoever. Nice people if not a bit geeky.

Our instructors often use them as an example on how not to do things.

I know little about chun training but they're not really into condition are they? In the three months they've been training there Ive never seen a drop of sweat on any of them.

Way to jump the gun sport.

No its not a class, its just a rolling session for those of us who want more sparring. Sunday is a bookable day, but when it's not booked out for seminars, its ours. As a result, we get informed early in the week if a seminar is planned. I got a phone call as I was driving from my Instructor informing me.

If the situation had played out the way you assumed, then yes, **** would hit the fan in a massive way.

Its for situations like this that I always keep a Hachimaki in my bag.

If it's just an informal rolling session then why not just show up anyways and ask if you can borrow the back corner of the mats or something?

Also, yeah, we share space with a TKD school and occasionally weird **** like womens self defense or step aerobics seminars or something will just SUDDENLY BE ALL UP IN OUR SPACE on scheduled class days. Generally it's easy enough to get them to move along though by just starting our scheduled class at our scheduled time and ignoring them.

Not a big gym, and for all his bullshit the Kung Fu instructor actually gets a big draw with his seminars.

never mind. now you can use the time to do some conditioning, by yourself.

I had a run when I got up. Been doing grappling drills and clubbell sets instead. Im like the clubbells, much harder to use than I anticipated.
