Me and my sister were talking about this today and I was just wondering how other people felt about the situation?

I get mildly annoyed by cops in their squad cars who tailgate me through my 'town' (where I live has no town proper or police department, but all the roads are marked as 'suburban' and have 35 mph speed limits as such) but will not hesitate to pull you over if you speed up to give them distance.

I notice my heart jumps when I see a cop in a cop car (even though I'm rarely speeding enough to warrant being pulled over) but seeing a cop on foot I feel nothing.

How do other bullshido members feel when they see a cop? Or am I just insane?

On the street, not much, unless they're armed. That makes me feel slightly uncomfortable, English people aren't used to seeing guns in public and don't really like it.

In a car, I just sharpen up and watch my speed.

Any police presence I think is unusual though, as I was brought up in a rural area and we don't have much of a police presence in any capacity.

Cop cars scare the crap out of me, not because I'm doing something illegal but because they might decide to fine me, and figure out what for after they pull me over. Its a pretty common perception here that patrol cars are purely revenue raisers. I had one do a reverse tailgate recently, slowed down to 15 in a 60 zone for several minutes in front of my car... i assume to bait me into tailgating.

If there's cops in my estate it means there's going to be a raid, anywhere else doesn't really evoke a response.

If I see a cop I think (in the back of my mind) that I'm going to get arrested.

Police are a lot more noticeable if they were flourescent jackets like British police

Than they are like American police.

When I am driving, the usual thing of checking my speed and driving style. On foot I notice them but my theory is I ignore them and they will ignore me.

When you aren't allowed to shoot brown people on sight you have to come up with other ways of arresting them.
