Off the back of the positive reception of my Fundamentals of Judo series and other threads I have launched:

http://thedifficultway.blogspot.com/

My first foray into the blogosphere.

It will be updated to feature all my threads on bullshido and will be where I cross post the Fundamentals series.

The Fundamentals series articles posted on the blog are updated and contain new material and additions to the originals posted on Bullshido, so are worth a re-read.

In a shamless piece of self-publicity I have posted two articles exclusively to my new blog.

Silver Bullets (http://thedifficultway.blogspot.com/2011/01/silver-bullets.html) A beginners guide to negotiating the pitfalls of starting Judo

And

Slicing a traditional throw in half (http://thedifficultway.blogspot.com/2011/01/slicing-traditional-throw-in-half.html) An in depth exploration of Inoue's Uchi mata and Koga's Seoi nage.

These articles will not be reposted on any other websites by me so if you are interested in them they're only avaliable on The Difficult Way (http://thedifficultway.blogspot.com/)blog.

I intend to update this blog regularly and use it as a respository of various artilces I come up with.

I hope this blog and the exclusive articles are of interest and help to people.

My aim is to turn this into one of the most accessable and user friendly blogs on Judo on the internet.

I will endeavour to actively respond to requests and produce content at the request of commenters.

Yours in Judo

You might want to mention that his oikomi entry is for kenka yotsu situations (Uchi Mata).

That's Katanishi Sensei, not Nakanishi Sensei.

You are on your way to becoming the Cichorei Kano of British Judo. Who was that masked man?

I'm looking forward to your scathing commentary on BJA throw naming conventions.

Thank you. You really have a gift. Subscribed. You hit the nail on the head: my problem is with the "core skills of movement, coordination, awareness of moment of opportunity, control, gripping etc..."

No I don't mind. The point of putting it in a blog was to make it accessable to as many people as possible.

Lol.

Nah let them work it out for themselves lol.

Ben
Fixed, dunno why I called him Nakanishi and then later called him Katanisi.

Well, Nakanishi is a great example as well, there are some good videos of him doing a demo at an Italian shiai.

Great stuff, i've been looking for a really good Judo blog to keep me busy whilst i'm at work.
Mind if I put a link from my own Judo blog http://stuartjudo.blogspot.com/ to yours?

Thanks. No, of course not, go ahead.

I don't really know much about blogging. Are there many Judo blogs, I haven't found many? Quite a few good BJJ ones Slideyfoot's and Jiujitsu Brotherhood are ones I check every now and again.

Still figuring out how to use it. Took a day off from the library ostensibly to do job applications but really I'm just playing with it.

Stats feature is interesting. Although the 3 views from Japan are worrying, probably means the Kodokan's onto me and going to tell me to stop talking about stuff I don't really understand lol.

Following and put a link up on my blog to you. Pimpin material. Has pushed me over the edge into seriously pursuing some Judo training coming up this year.
