Down in Brazil, Pedro "The Pedro" Otavio takes on Koji Kitao in Universal Vale Tudo 1.
Otavio was the David. He had a Vale Tudo career that spanned long and wide, and saw him face fighters such as Renato Sobral, Amar Suloev, and Assuerio Silva. He's probably best remembered for getting his penis crushed by Gary Goodridge IVC 1 and being pounded by Mark Kerr in Pride 3.
Kitao was the Goliath. He's notable in the Sumo world for being the only wrestler in history to be promoted to the rank of Yokozuna based on potential alone, having never won any major tournaments. Kitao was mostly considered an embarassment as a Yokozuna and eventually had a falling out with his stable master, which led to him leaving Sumo for puroresu.
As a professional wrestler, he was involved in two notable shoot incidences. One was with John "Earthquake" Tenta (Himself an ex-Sumotori and NCAA wrestler), where Kitao refused to sell the American's moves. The other incident was with Nobuhiko Takada, which saw Kitao being legitimately Ko'ed from an intentionally stiff kick.
Kitao also had two other MMA fights. One was in UFC 9, where he lost to the much smaller Moo Yea Do stylist Mark Hall by stoppage from a broken nose. The other was against WWE wrestler Nathan Jones in Pride 1. Although it was a worked match, it stands as the only victory on his record.
