On Friday night I was in the pub having a few drinks with some friends, when a fight broke out at the next table.
Apparently one guy "had been staring funny" at another guy all night.
The first guy was with one or two people, and the second guy was with several friends.

The thing that amazed me, was that at no point did any of the friends jump in to help. Instead both sides friends were actively breaking up the fight.

Obviously this is some sort of paradigm shift in society, because this is something I've never seen before. Ever.

Am I overdoing the sarcasm?

I'm now going to post something similar over on MAP. Anyone fancy guessing what the most retarded response will be?

"Obviously, both parties had members trained in de-escalation processes. MA is something you don't mess around with since past black belt one must register your hands, feet, and sometimes even you elbows with the proper authorities.

It's like owning a gun."

I think your aikido training allowed you to blend with the multiple attackers ki and resolve it harmoniously without moving from your pint.

My all time favorate moment in watching pub fights is the cry of "Hold me back! Hold me back!" as one of the guys grabs out at anyone nearby in a desperate attempt to contain his bloodlust.

Sometimes I'm glad I don't live in Europe.

They had realized that they both had t3h goug3, and so backing off was imperative.

What does that have to do with anything? I was trying to give a bullcrap MAP response.

Same bullcrap response mechanism here. I don't have to register weapons in the States (at least in Georgia). Of course, the beer is watery, the summers are hot and the women are cold.

What´s the point of hot weather if the ladies are cold?

As for the pub incident. . .what's the world coming to?
First, Omega and Asia have been very nice lately, and now this!
Even KFSS was the picture of civility, of late. . .
It's Armageddon, I tell ya!
