Eyes Wide Open, thank you for that. Would you mind doing a brief interview or a q/a session for me?

I registered here just to let Stargazer and Eyes Wide Open know that people are reading and are interested in their experiences. I had my suspicions about Dahn after reading a lot of people's posts here and there.
Stargazer, I hope you continue with your story and I hope EWO tells more details about what happened to him or her at Dahn.
Is Brain Wave Vibration the same thing? And what about Brain Education? And "BEST"? Ilchi Lee is bringing these programs into schools and work places. What do you think of that? Are the children going to get sucked into a cult when they grow up?
What do you think of the lawsuit where a woman died on a hike from dehydration? The case was dismissed.
Does your friend who was raped (but more like being coerced, not physical force, right?) plan to press charges? I read that Ilchi Lee was sued by a master in 2002 for coercing her to have sex and leave her husband.
(I'm not a Dahn member, but find it interesting, what with all the Dahn centers cropping up everywhere.)

First and foremost, here is the latest investigation into Dahn. Basically similar results to my conclusion:

Hi Penelope.
Sorry to beat the others to this, but I have an itchy keyboard finger when it comes to Dahn.
Sorry to be repetative, as I already posted this link. This is reference to Lee's pseudo-research. To summarize, his organization does it's onw research, and he is a research board member. As such, results are bound to be biased.
http://www.selectsmart.com/ilchilee.html
1. Yes, BEST, Brainwave Vibration, Body and Brain Club and Brainwave Respiration are the same thing. (Lee owns thousands upon thousands of businesses with different names. They are all umbrella organizations to fund his lavish life style. )
If you are on to Dahn, keep your kids out of these. I'm of the opinion that it leads to Dahn spreading it's propaganda to school kids. They are already targeting college campuses.
2. The lawsuit was dismissed. Dahn claimed she died a peaceful death. The police report and the family beg to differ, but hey, when you have millions, it's no big deal.

Interestingly enough it is becoming harder and harder to find articles related to Dahn in a negative light. From what I understand in my convestation with StarGazer, Dahn has a very active web staff to remove these "blemishes."

Thanks, Humanzee. Don't worry about me. I have good anti-cult sensors. The trouble is, second hand reports of atrocities like sexual coercion (or "rape") are seen as rumor mongering. But I know it's very hard for women to come forward. You must have seen the 1999 story on newdahn.com where a top Dahn master told about the sexual exploitation going on. We know how often the tables get turned, the victim gets blamed for being out to get the perp. I don't know what happened to the master who wrote that story but I bet it was hard on her. Caveat emptor rules.
Is there a support group for former Dahn members, maybe an online group or site?
I hope SG and EWO post more details of their experiences and observations here.

Hi Penelope. It's as you said. There are thousands of forums that have former members discuss what happened to them. Most of them are afraid to use their real name because they fear retribution from Dahn. (As the case with Jiha Kim, and Cheon Joon, these two being the most famous.)
For this reason, Dahn is a slippery fish. However, even Steve Hassan, a noted cult deprogrammer, has confirmed that Dahn is a cult. It fits the glove perfectly.
In addition, numerous psychiatrists have described their Shim Sung training as similar to that of POW 's post traumatic stress syndrome. Please refer to one of my earlier posts for the link.
All anyone can really do, is dissiminate this info, and hope that current members think twice before going any further. At least that's my goal.
As of now, there are no Dahn support groups, which is rather unfortunate. These people are really hurting, and after blowing off their family and relatives for the sake of Lee's cause, some no longer have anyone to turn to. And again, Dahn is a RICH business, so they can get away with intimidating some. They are already on the verge of buying their way into legitimacy within the US, as you no doubt read in the articles I linked to.
(somewhere on www.newdahn.com/usa (http://www.newdahn.com/usa))
Lee already owns large newspaper and television media in Korea, and is working on a food/medicine manufacturing business here. Again, refer to the same site, and ask any questions you might have.
Remember, knowlege is power, and Dahn doesn't like knowlege.

Dahn Yoga centers are bullshit, i live in Chicago too and my mom tried it out to help with her health. Admittedly she was slightly more athletic, but the charges kept rising. Not only that but they have a habit of constantly switching instructors, half of them couldn't even do the exercises they were teaching...
I also took a few Tai Chi classes there... it was horrible >.>
They even sell books on some fake ancient "Korean" Mother Earth religious bullshit.
Recently i past by it and it was offering classes in Dahn Mu Do (they finally found a name for they "Tai Chi") which is advertised as a "non-combative, energy-based, HEALING MARTIAL ART").
I remember getting an "Aura" examination, it was a box with technicolour hand prints that change colour according to your "aura".

Yeah, the first time I went in there asking about their "Tai Chi" they asked me for my experience. I told them 2 years. They never mentioned it again.
Second time I went in there specifically for an investigation (told them I had 0 experience) they tried to sell it to me as an ancient art of the Korean Kings, over 5000 years old.
About the energy reading, did they press accupressure points on you, and try to tell you the pain is energy blockages?
***
And again, just to nail this point home, what they showed me at the Dahn center, was in no way, shape or form Taiji Quan. About 3 of the poses were it, but even those were tense to a fault, and violated just about every Taiji classic (shoulder movement, tension, full extension of hands, etc.)

I currently work for Dahn Yoga. I had never heard of the company before I was hired here, but I can tell you, its a little odd. That's why I started researching it and stumbled across this website. VERY interesting.
They have never tried pressuring me into joining, probably because their program promises health and happines, both of which I already have with no complaint what-so-ever. BUT, my manager has me spending most of my day listening to videos/recordings of people who DID enjoy DahnYoga and then writing them all day word for word. I've also had to summarize the testimonials from the website. I was wondering if that was their way of "turning" me, but part of me thinks they know that this is just a way to make money. And they're just doing that.
Unfortunately, there's a sucker born every minute!

Thank you for posting here. Would you be able to do a bit of investigative work? Nothing that would cost you your job, just some basic Q/A type of stuff?
If possible, can you also describe the "energy reading" process? I never did learn where their machines come from, what technology they use, and how they work.
Also, In your opinion, is there is a lot of "love bombinb," i.e. hugging, smiling, and sharing of personal stuff a little too much? Just curious about your opinion on this one.
Did you notice anything odd aobut the incense/tea? There have been some odd alegations about them. I will describe if you are interested.

...I refused the tea. I hate it. So maybe that's a good thing. And so far, they've only burned candles here, but nothing odd about them, yet.
Their machines get delivered here to our offices then we ship them out. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to learn too much about them yet!
The only time I've been uncomfortable with the touchy-feely bit is when I came in to the office right in the middle of a "meeting" where they were all chanting in Korean (don't ask me, I don't know what they were saying), then they all went through and announced what they were doing with their day. When I'd walked in, the director came and grabbed me, throwing his arm around me. I HATE being touched, so this bothered me a bit, then it was my turn! What are you doing today!? Uhm...working!
I'm happy to help out as much as I can! So far, its just a little weird here and there. The people I work with are all very nice, but I'm still learning this!

Again, thank you for posting. The more information we collect, the better armed we are.
Just a word of warning, their Shim Sung (true self) seminars are designed to mentally re-condition you. Confirmed by Steve Hassan and several other psychiatrists. Please see my earlier posts. Stay FAR away.
They chant along the lines of ne pa jin dong.... something... it means brain wave. Another mental conditioning tactic. You can reference Steve Hassan's web site http://www.freedomofmind.com/ or book about this. Dahn's tactics fit the glove perfectly. Message me for more info if you like.
There were alegations of the tea/ incense being laced with marijuana, again, please reference an earlier post. If you can't find it, I will PM you the link. As for the machines, when I got my free reading at a Dahn expo in Arlington Heights, they said my aura was too orange or something... and I needed to come in and get it fixed.
Can you please ask some of the dahn masters (separately) about the history of their Dahn Yoga, and then the history of their "Tai Chi?" I am curious to see how many different answers you get. I got some variation from my questioning.
Thank you again.

Humanzee, go here: http://appft1.uspto.gov/netahtml/PTO/search-bool.html and do a search on Lee, Seung-Heun. You'll find the description: "Method for measuring human body aura and system therefor"

Please make sure you read my post here on this forum (specifically on page 11) before you go any further with this group. You may have already read it, but it will be worth your time, I think, at least to know what Dahn is really about so that you can make an informed decision about whether you want to continue.
Just a quick remark - the tea is not laced with anything at all, it's just herbs and spices.

There is nothing technical there. They are claiming a patent on "sensors" that sense "aura" or energy. There is no descriptions of how said sensors actually function. Pure B.S.

Wondering if you still work there? I would be surprised if the Firm has not read these posts. For a large company there is instant communication. It would be very easy to find out which office had a new person on staff. It would also be easy to find out which office distributes the Aura machines.
If they are aware of you; you will be watched like a hawk and only fed the best information that can be distributed.
Just my two cents for now!!!
