....or do i just not get it?

http://www.recordholders.org/en/records/doyle.html

mainly this part:
-fastest 110-man kumite karate: defeated 110 opponents in full-contact rounds in 3:08 min

does that mean he defeated 110 opponents in 188 seconds in full-contact rounds, having only 1.7 seconds per enemy?(the 0.0090909infinity second is used for facing the next enemy)

please, tell me what you think.

Well, Oyama never killed a bull with one punch (though he did stagger it), or chop off the horns with a shuto ( they had been pre-cut), but some still believe and even those who don't, like me, still do hold the man in high regard nevertheless.

He lined them all up like dominos, then hit the first guy really, really hard. It took three minutes for them to all fall.

Is this guy the most impressive human being on the planet?
Or, are his records like the 24HR Fitness Personal Trainers?
(um, "certified" by 24HR Fitness, as opposed to some accrediting organization)

How, exactly, do you verify this?

That list is utterly retarded by the way. It's like he invented a bunch of "trials" and declared himself the champion.

"Uh, okay, let's see: I'll set the world record for number of pushups done while a rabid toy poodle humps my calf! Yeah, no one's ever thought of that!"

why do most of your fantasies include "humping"?

I would presume most people's fantasies involve humping.

Perhaps the 3:08 is for 3 hours and 8 minutes?

I once kicked a steer after it had kicked me and knocked me into a pile of cowshit. I got up and kicked it in the belly with my cowboy boots on. It fell down (a lucky shot that knocked the wind out of it) but I am no Oyama, although I did own a white gi once.:D

Wow!!! Is this guy going to put Birmingham on the map or what? lol I had no clue it was so happening.

Ohh, and what the hell is BURPEES?

A burpee is performed by starting in a full squat postion with your palms on the floor. You begin the burpee by kicking both feet back and dropping you chest to the floor like when doing a push up. You then push off with your hand and kick your feet to where your hands are and then execute a jump as high in the air as you can with your hands full extended. Then repeat until death, exhaustion etc as fast as you can. It promotes explosiveness and is really good for building your anaerobic potential. There are probably other names for this but that the name I know for it.

Thanks Rigante, I had no clue.

BURPEES
15 min: 470, 19 Feb 1992, Stocks, Birmingham WR

Is this even humanly possible? Where do confirm a "World Record" like this? I would have been impressed if he claimed like 47, but come on....

That is approximately one burpee every 2 seconds. I dont think so. Some of the boxers over at Rossboxing.com have put up burpee challenge times and they dont come anywhere close to this!
