We all sacrifice time, money, and effort for our training. But what other things have you inadvertently sacrificed?

I make this thread because I just had to drop a course that I was failing. I overworked myself and wasn't properly studying and keeping up with the class.

My general ongoing sacrifices are videogames and music. I just don't have the time these days to game or record songs. I hope to gain these things back once I'm out of college. (Not too far off now.)

Time with my new daughter. That's the one that hurts the most. I believe it will be worth it when she's ready to learn what I will have to teach.

yup I don't have time to game anymore.

In fact I practically sold all my games to give myself funds to train more.

That's it man! My goals of better health and protection of my family keep me going ... but I hate missing that time!

What's helped me is that it's QUALITY of time that's important with your child, not necessarily quantity.

My health, body, joints.
I kept training with injuries.

Not doing it raises energy levels and agression.

Probably some measure of health. I think MA is also partially to blame for my current relationship slowly going down the tubes.

I'm giving up rugby in the fall.....

This was a VERY hard choice to make. Last year I tried doing rugby, JJ and school. The result? I'm still at the same belt level, I didn't much game time because of missed practices, my grades went to shit, and I was tired all the time. So, this summer I made the choice. When practice starts up in the fall, I'll be either studying or in the dojo.

Reality is not my friend!

Relationship. Laughed it of by painting two rows of yellow dots on forehead for a couple a days. Then, trained a lot more.

Didn't sacrficiece a relationship to it, but it sure did not help.

After getting headbutted in the eye and lip, dropped on my head, and my knee fucked up (all thanks to gimpface) I would say I have sacrificed comfort.

I've been known to blow off my girlfriend in order to roll around with sweaty men.
