Whenever I KNOW I'm going to get into a fight (not competition) I get shaky hands. Nothing I can't handle, but my hands get twitchy and my heart rate picks up...I guess you could call it nervousness. Does anyone else get this? What do you think of it?

I used to get it. Just a lil fear and adrenalin. It doesn't seem to happen anymore.

I wish it would go away. Mines gotta be a mix of that. Maybe if I just fight before I get shaky hands I'll overcome it. lol

Whats to be nervous about?

Other then the fact that you would feel completely emasculated if you lost, and the possibility that you may be permanently deformed, crippled, or even killed (accidents happen).

lol
no holds barred fighting is scary, but I guess the fear and adrenaline keep you on your toes, so its probably for the best

It's the adrenaline rush...can't stop it

take drugs that stop your adrenal medulla from excreting epinephrine - this will inhibit your sympathetic nervous system

I'm the exact opposite...after I'm done...I'm so jacked I can barely stand. When I played ball in HS and JUCO, my coach just played me the entire game because once I was out, it was like coming down from a hug rush...I couldn't stand my legs and body would be shaking so hard. Same thing when I train standup...after a good standup session...like at the Florida Throwdown with Cannabis...my legs were shaking so hard I couldn't stand...then again maybe I'm just a big pussy :)

A hug rush? Is that the single leg that you see the "grappler" do in all those "anti-grappling" vids? =P

man...sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. It's all good, untl you get tunnel vision or time distortions. In an unexpected situation, sometimes you'll get problems with your perception of the events. It's always good to try to breathe right and try to focus, but sometimes it can't be helped.
After a while it either goes away, or you learn to cope, and like the rush.

TCC guys don't suffer from stress! Too bad you do. You'll probably die early. It happens.
