We were coming back from a pretty sweet Hipster Dance party, it was hot it was a full moon we were pretty drunk. Coming down broadway we were going to stop at Julian's Resturaunt to grab our friend Jeremy so we could all jump into the VinciBUS and head to Carr Pond and go swim with the rest of the gang. We are riding bicicyles Robert Maggie and I and the street is broad (hence the name) and empty, there is a pickup behind us and maggie rides in front of it to turn into Julian's this truck happens to be going to the house behind it. This truck has four males in it, and the driver gets vocal about our poor riding. We get off our bikes and bang on the door to the kitchen, no one answers...its three in the morining, they all left along time ago. We are in a dead end alley with four 21-25 yr old men blocking our way, the largest one is very vocal and agressive. He is screaming and being threatening, Robert and Maggie are not ignoring him are not backing down, they are being themselves and not letting this guy be the tough guy he wants to be. His friends are mostly interested in not getting arrested so they try to hold him back or at least one of them is. He freaks and pushes robert who falls into the wall, I grab the guy, his friend is trying to pull him back but he larger and stronger and his freind is not that intent. I have my arms out and am pushing him back yelling in his face to stop and to relax and "we just want ot leave" trying for some reason to diffuse the situation. he goes to shove me saying dismissive diminutive things, I slap his arm at the elbow so his arm crosses his body and he stumbles, he get obviously infuriated and swings, I level change and shoot for his midsection not his legs, I slam him at the hips knocking him back and his friend gets control of him.
Maggie and robert want to leave, the guys are all backing out, Tough guys still flipping out, they open a path for us Robert and maggie get onto the street and on their bikes. I am last and walk behing the agro guy I get onto the street and maggie kicks off and rides a dozen meters ahead I kick off and get about ten feet away i turn around and Robert is behind me, Agro guy totally wigs out and tears away form his friend, I am screaming out HOLD HIM BACK! as i try to intercept. Robert turns to be greeted by a meaty right hand, with a ring of some sort on it.I drill this mutherfucker with my full body weight and am in a standing mounted position trying to reach his face with my fists as his friends grab me. For some reason I don't hit them, I stop. They drag they're friend inside. My firends eye is cut open above the eyebrow. I didn't get one good shot in on this kid.
These two people are not just my firends i regard them like family, I failed to protect my family the one thing we all train to do. I can barely look at myself in the mirror right now, I feel impotent and worthless. I could not summon the balls to tear into this kid and his firends and his army and the whole fucking world to save my family. I should rather die than let the people i love get hurt.
There were police and this kid tried to apologize so we wouldnt get the police, he lives behind the restirant and Julian the owner says he's insane and they had to throw him out and call the cops before. He got loud and aggressive with two skinny dudes and a girl on bikes, I should have been the lesson, I had him all day any day, i'm no champion or even much of a match for my teamates but ...I fucking can't stand the thought of him getting away clean from this. I'm gonna wait...I know where he lives...I'm going to let it get cold...
