    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Judo is beautiful.

Even at a really high level BJJ just isn't as aesthetically pleasing as this amazing Judo video:
    YouTube - The full demonstration

I wish I could even think about doing any sacrifice throw even close to that clean.

Of all of man's desires for achievement, the Quest for Big Air is perhaps the noblest.
    The fool thinks himself immortal,
    If he hold back from battle;
But old age will grant him no truce,
    Even if spears spare him.

I have to agree. Judo is much cooler than bjj.

Edit: I like this. I like that people do martial sport for the mastery and not for some insecurity need of some sort. It should be about being in the moment and do awesome stuff.

**** yeah Judo, because throwing bitches is the epitome of awesome. Is there anything more akin to moving poetry than picking someone up, heaving them into the air, then tagging out so Planet Earth can finish the job? No, no there is not.

Parisi is amazing. I suggest to everybody to search around for more of his videos in comps. He is a large guy, but he fought and beat many much larger opponents with amazing high amplitude throws for ippon.

Those bits of Holy Ugly Awesome @ 2:10 and 2:20 were simply mind blowing in that the throw was not one of the happy accident or opportunistic variety.

What is that throw called ? I am not recognizing it or at least in that highly energetic incarnation. Not that Judo was ever a strong point of mine.

What is quite unique about Parisi's Judo is that it is almost all done with a double lapel girp and it is done almost completely ambidextrously.

In the video Parisi threw with Harai Goshi, Tai Otoshi, Tsurikomi goshi and Seoi nage all from the same grip.

What I imagine you're trying to pick apart are his Tai Otoshi and his Seoi nage with split legs. This will be very difficult if not impossible for you to replicate or get anywhere near. Next practice take a double lapel grip and then try and throw a cooperative partner with Tai otoshi whilst holding it. You'll find it quite difficult, because of the lack of sleeve control your timing has to be even more exact and your kuzushi even more precise than a normal Tai otoshi.

There's not really much to 'pick apart', well there is, but... What is really going on is that Parisi is just really really good at Judo.

    Anyway more beautiful Judo:
