I feel sooo Alucard.
So, this little pilgrim on his quest for ***** ran into two drunken frat students yesterday, both bigger than himself.
- No, sorry, no cowboy story of how raped a homeless person by dwi chagi.
Just words flew, and in the end, a gentlemen's agreement was achieved.
Now, this situation got me thinking:
I know how to knock somebody down (not meaning: out), but at the same time know almost no viable techniques to pin somebody on the ground without going down myself.
To deescalate the situation (instead of having to KO the other dude as well), my instinctive second step after knocking my opponent down would have been the standing armlock that I learned in BBT. - But I don't think that would have worked, even less against an opponent that is physically stronger than myself.
So, my question to you would be, what hold (not sure if that is the correct English term) would you apply to keep a downed opponent on the ground?
- Apart from harsher measures like simply stomping on his head.
Thanks a lot,

If hold downs exist that can be done with tori standing I'd love to hear about them. But I'm not holding my breath.

I do have a cause to hold people down for different reasons.(Job related not date realated).
standing side neck subission to scarf hold. with me seated.
or putting my knee in their neck with a goose neck or a hammerlock.
I choose these mostly so I can get back up. The knee is as high as I can get and still hold someone safely down.
