Having read a few of your reviews of Asian martial arts movies, I'm going to put this to you gently.

You need far more familiarity with the cultures & themes represented in these movies in order for your reviews to carry any weight.

To put it bluntly,

Your reviews suck.

the fights weren't at all well choreographed, and the only sense that they were "raw" was that it was underdeveloped and left a bad taste in my mouth.

You probably went to see "Machete" expecting a moving, hard-hitting dramatic analysis of situation of migrant laborers in Tejas, didn't you?

still, with stuff like Old Boy and Fighter in the Wind to compete with, i really have to doubt the eyes of anyone calling the fights from geochilmaru "well choreographed."

The fact you even bothered to compare Geochilmaru with Old Boy & Barami Paiteo just shows how little understanding of the genre you actually have.

i'm about as much an authority on fight choreography as anyone who's watched piles and piles of fight films. still, if you think my assessment of geochilmaru's fight scenes is inaccurate, i'm open to your counterpoints.

Your assessment blows the balls of the goat who's head Rambo played that crazy mounted football game with in Rambo III.

Also, the American version of this film is currently in development.

hey man, i'm reviewing these movies (all of the movies) as just another guy with an opinion. i've never claimed to have any special weight to any of them, they're just my thoughts as a consumer of pop culture.

the fights in Geochilmaru were terrible, and i explained why i thought so. Old Boy and Fighter in the Wind both had much better choreography, impact, and photography, even though they are miles apart stylistically. Since you've worked as a stuntman, can you explain what you liked about Geochilmaru's fights? you and IIF seem to disagree with my opinion on the film, but I'm still waiting to hear why.

No you weren't you are still confused. I responded to your comment about Der and the "lumping" of fight choreography. I said nothing at all about your review.
