Two weeks at the range

Oh yesss, it's that time of year. Qual time! Time to spend two weeks down at the range on Uncle Sugar's dime making sure everybody has got their **** wired tight. Pistol, rifle, shotgun, subgun. The only downside is that I will be doing the lion's share of weapons cleaning when all is said and done.

If I can get back on time to still go to BJJ I will be at exactly zero stress at the end of the day.

Slip2000 725 gun cleaner degreaser and a shower head get's them clean. Compressed air or a blow drier and Slip2000 lube with a cloth protects and of course lubes. easy peasy lemon squizy

I never used Slip2000 before, I'll look into it. I'm a strong believer in FP10 as a lube, it's really hard to beat.

Not bad stuff for something created quite a while ago. the problem with petroleum based products is as they heat up and get dirty they start to gunk up.

Slip2000 is just flat out superior on any carbine firearm or smaller.

On the recommendation of one of the instructors from Camp Skeletor, I grabbed some of this stuff for gun cleaning:

He says you just spray it on, let it sit and wipe it off, then lubricate the points you need to.

For twice the fun, spray it on your hands and do malfunction drills. :violent1:

One friend of mine who was in the Army back in the '80s told about some really smart guy in Infantry AIT got his hands on some engine cleaner and used it on his M16. All his buddies were jealous until the weapons were inspected the next day and every bit of finish was gone from the guy's rifle. Instant Article 15.

This must be why TacMan specified getting the tuner and not the cleaner. :thumbsup:
