Just to add, before I used that thinking of the hug for a RNC, I would do the common mistakes. Use too much arm strength, try to crank their neck, hold my breath.
Hug them and breathe deeply in and out.

Style: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
You need to put your right hand on your left shoulder. Do the technique without the opponent and notice the size of the hole you create. If you move your hand from your bicep to your shoulder then the hole becomes smaller. If you push your chest out, shoulders back the hole becomes smaller which is what you want.

If the above does not work, try setting your right palm on your left bicept so your pinky is in the crook of your elbow. Then, take your left hand and set it (palm down) on the front of your right delt. Then slide your left palm down your right bicept (palm down) as far as possible. Then breath in, arch back, and bring your elbows together.
