guillotine from bottom mount
Hello, i have a question here, which is probably stupid, but anyway:
When you establish the mount position, some people will respond by grabing your head in a guillotine/headlock hold with all their strength. Now i know that they cannot choke you from the bottom of the mount as they do not have the leverage, but this can nontheless be painful. It is especially problematic if a stronger person employs this tactic, as they can hold your head very tight, making it imposible to break the grip.
Now my question is if there is any good way to get your head free from the hold. Of course one could just wait until the opponent exhausts all his strength holding and lets go, but i am interested if there is another, faster way.
To show you the position i am reffering to, see this video at 0:33-0:52
Anything else besides punching the ribs until they let go?

Von flu or arm triangle. I kinda like arm triangle because you don't have to dismount until you have solid control.

Put your free elbow in his eye and just do a mortar and pestle thing with his vitreous and aqueous fluids.

You can also switch to side control, and it becomes real easy to just pop your head out. If that doesn't work (and you can't get the Von Flue to work), proceed to North-South, and you should be completely free of the choke.
WhiteShark, I'm having difficulty picturing how you set up an arm triangle from that position. Though being a judo guy, I'm not to familiar with arm triangles in general.

Either a massive crossface with the elbow or dismount to side control.
When people try to "guillotine" you like that from side control there is a pretty good wristlock you can use. Robert Drysdale shows it on the youtube series where Jeff Glover travels around to different gyms.
