    Stan Lee's Superhumans

There's a new show on the History Channel that apparently is looking to establish itself as the successor to Human Weapon. In Stan Lee's Superhumans, host Daniel Browning Smith travels the globe in search of people who can perform seemingly superhuman feats in real life. As you might guess, there's very little skepticism and the show gives a huge opportunity for charlatans to peddle their bullshit. Featured guests include known fraud Tom Cameron (The "Human Stun Gun") and Dennis Rogers, who performs amazingly imitable feats like tearing a phone book in half in an effort to pass himself off as the world's strongest man.

Of course, the death touch had to be covered:

YouTube- Superhuman Shifu Shi Yan Ming's Killer punch.

Take note that they brought in the same expert who also did the crash test dummy tests on Fight Science and Sport Science:

    YouTube- fight science - Ninjitsu

I guess her primary line of work now revolves around repeatedly saying "We've never seen these numbers in a lab before!"

It would be nice to see this information presented in a real scientific manner.

    Oh dear.
"The hero and the coward both feel the same thing, but the hero projects his fear onto his opponent while the coward runs. 'Fear'. It's the same thing, but it's what you do with it that matters". - Cus D'Amato

Well, it's television, folks. What can you say? I hope that more and more people join up with schools to learn the one-inch punch and less learn anything about fighting. It'll make the world a safer place.

It would be an awful short show

"Let's see the 'Human Stun Gun' move the needle on this voltmeter"

    *doesn't move*

"Umm, let's see him stun someone other than his own students"

    *Replay of Stephan Bonner footage*

Uhh... See you next week when..."

    *Show canceled*
    *Cut to test pattern*

Not even Penn and Teller's show did it right. None of these guys would sign the release form if they got caught.

Someone has to inspire the next generation of Booj LARPERS

1 I'm not a fan of that show, most of what they show is crap

2 Martial arts are a skill set not something you can measure

3 They had a nice one on that marathon runner who's lactic acid didn't rise. Then again they showed that to be possible way before when they measured Randy Couture's Lactic Acid.

4 Stan Lee is cool, but he's getting old. People ran out of super powers around the time the Xmen came out. Like seriously there is only so much you can do to a person and still be able to call him a person.

I was a little shocked. Sure, he changed sides quickly, but I guess even a dog can realize it has more in common with the wolf than with the shephard.

I give him the names of some BJJ schools in the area, and we go our separate ways.

It might also cause someone to risk their life against an armed assailant.

Then again, it might be amusing to see a frustrated nerd try to pull of teh death touch against another nerd who also believes it's real. One guy would collapse to the ground thinking he's dead and the other one would panic, thinking he's an uncontrollable monster.

That climbing guy was rather impressive.
Yeah, there are legit guys mixed in with the phonies. They even had the World Sauna Champion demonstrate his heat resistance.
