I've got no digicam and I'm having trouble to download pics from my cellphone to my PC, so I can't go for the firstprize, but I'll stay in the game.

Drank six light beers and one dark beer yesterday evening, and half a portion of nachos. (Out with them friends.)

    Trained, though.

Weighin' in this morning at 71 kg, before breakfast.

How can I get muscle AND loose weight at the same time?

I have no idea, honestly, because this was a question I never had to ask myself. (Before I started lifting seriously in 2007, I weighed an average of 63 kg/139 lbs.)

Will I have to quit beer for good if I want to stay in shape-shape?

You generally can't without either chemical assistance, an incredibly detailed diet, or being a rank beginner.

    Thanks, man.

My primary goal is to lose excess body fat as a side efffect of working on my cardio, but I really can't diet properly right now.

(Living at my parents' house for a few months. Is rawking cool; dishes clean themselves, dirty laundry washes and irons itself, there is always something in the fridge... And so on. Not the best time to diet, but certainly the best time to replay all those games on your old Super Nintendo.)

IT goes against common knowledge, but when I did a modified Atkins type low carb it was combined with lifting (to burn - and for me, a hard regime alternating upper, lower, gut on a schedule) and I got much stronger. Perhaps the stress of lifting countered the diet's "eat tissue, fat and muscle" effect?

Strength gain is not indicative of muscle gain, but more CNS efficiency. That said, from what I've seen, ketogenic diets similar to atkins are useful for muscle sparing during fat loss.

I think I may have just put on a kilo or two... Not a good day for sybs :(

Also, I wish people would stop giving me soft drinks. They aren't helping.
