Yeah, I'm about to go full on bodybuilder with my next phase. I'm planning on using Dog Crapp training, laying off of heavy 1-5 stuff and just really focusing on putting on quality mass. I kept hitting a wall at 205 that I just couldnt clear, and all my attempts to put on more weight just kept getting me fatter. I'm thinking building back up to 200lbs at a lower bodyfat is really going to do the trick, and this fat loss phase has been a great way for me to discover how my body responds to nutritional changes. I'm planning on utilizing some sort of carb cycling progress, while still keeping my grains low in the evening. Only issue will be timing post workout nutrition.

Definitely start a thread, I'm interested to see how it goes. In theory your insulin resistance should be better after eating clean and low carb for so long so it should be pretty easy to put on muscle.

What time do you workout? It makes more sense to eat your carbs after the workout and cut the carbs before. I want to try this out, maybe you can for me - http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/...sseating_2.htm.

I don't have a consistent training time due to my work schedule. Ideally is early to mid afternoon. Dante talks a lot about tapering off carbs in the evening while on DC, and it's worked for me for fat loss, but I'll do a little more research and see what sounds good to me.

Good article which sadly confirms my fear that I need to cut down on the diet soda. Got a lot of good takeaways and meal ideas.

I don't remember what other names I might have used, but it's been a while.

    This morning:

    Weigh in: 341.3 lbs
    Current Target: 300 lbs
Eventual Target: 220ish? I'll have to see how the results pan out.

Background: I didn't learn from my mistakes the first time around. Used to be a serious athlete, then a major injury left me unable to do much more than hobble for a while but I didn't change my eating habits. Healed up, started losing weight, became injured again, gained more weight than ever. I started managing my diet and exercising again in the first week of September, when I weighed 360 lbs. The previous week or so my weight loss efforts have been lackluster, so I figured posting on here weekly (or more often than that) would force me to keep focused on getting back in shape.

    This morning after gym, 230.

Incidentally, anyone know of a good way/strategy of dealing with strong feeling of nausea during and post-workout?

Let me use today as an example.

2 hrs prior to workout, I had 1 bowl of cereal
30 min prior to workout, 36g of protein in about 1 l of water.

    workout:
20 min interval run where I go 2 min on high intensity, and 3 minutes fast pace walking.

    Deadlift: 100lbs
    3 reps of 12
    1 min rest between reps

    leg press: 250lbs
    3 reps of 10
    1 min rest between reps

    Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 35lbs
    3 reps of 12
    1 min rest between reps

<right about here the nausea starts to kick in pretty hard>

    Alternating Curls: 35lbs
    3 reps of 10
    1 min rest between reps

    Dumbbell Bench Press: 40 lbs
    3 reps of 10
    1 min rest between reps

    Bench Row: 45 lbs
    3 reps of 10
    1 min rest between reps

    <here I go almost all out pukahontas>

Note: I alternate the exercises every few days, and the nausea kicks in close to the end. The only exception is burpees. If I approach the ballpark of 10 of those after intense cardio, it's puke-city.

I think you mean 1 minute between sets, but I don't see anyway you could NOT feel sick during that workout, especially the first 2 movements. Your body is pretty much pure lactic acid at that point.

Crap... I guess there's no real way to avoid that then.
Any tricks to cope, or is it basically just rough it out till the end?
