    Marvel's Iron Fist movie

    http://www.superherohype.com/news/ar...s-on-iron-fist

This was announced a long time ago, but it seems that the movie is back on track. I'm afraid since Iron Fist is not a major character, this movie will be full of cheese.

    We shall see.

They've Green lighted a bunch of Smaller Character movies about 6 months ago. It is under a new marvel/disney production place with smaller budgets. I can hope but, I think many of these are going to end up being straight to DVD.

Disney loves to pimp **** and over use stuff so, I am slightly worried.

Just so they can die in the first 10 minutes or something? Probably.

At least no one had time to quote it before I fixed it.

I expect a FLURRY of DVD releases of minor Avengers characters about a month before the Avengers movie. Then characters will get mentioned in Avengers, get some kind of awesome 3 minute scene that makes them look cool, and people will go buy their DVDs afterwards.

This has been rumored for years and pretty much ever since Phantom Menace, Ray Park has been inevitably attached to it.
and this gives me an excuse to post a link of my boy Dan Brereton's painted Iron Fist

i love iron fist! Personally i'm glad they're finally moving along with this and I honestly pray that they dont make it a POS. Given the high level quality of movies marvel has been turning out lately, hopefully they'll be able to do the same for Iron Fist.

If they treat this in the same manner they did the original Blade, with a good midlevel budget , a solid, known mid-range bankable star like Snipes and a solid serious script, by a known screenwriter like the one by Goyer (Dark City...later Batman Begins and Dark Knight), it has the potential to do well.

Or it could go the reversal and have virtually the same budget, a solid known midrange star like Josh Brolin, a wild script by known screenwriters, like the one by Neveldine and Taylor (Crank, Crank 2, Gamer) it has the potential to be Jonah Hex.

Depends on what you call high.

Blade 1&2 are the best of the low tier characters. Elektra, Daredevil, Ghost Rider and punisher (I did like the reboot) not so much. They don't put their all into the "throw away characters" anymore.

    That is what worries me.
