I also would like to see a Werdum VS Emelianenko, not Fedor, Aleks.
since i read this from his interview "And Werdum. Well. Um. OK. I mean, heís a good fighter. But I, I was just there to holiday. I didnít even train for him at all. I just, really, I went there to holiday. And I was asked "Do you want to fight?" and I said "OK, letís give it a go." And they first had one opponent lined up for me and then suddenly changed him to Werdum."
Lost by an arm triangle.
Isn't Aleks still banned from fighting in the US?
I would really like to see him fight quality opponents again, but I think the blood work thing has screwed his career quite handily.
Aleks is a good fighter and it's a shame he has to stand in his brother's shadow so much. I think he'd be an great gatekeeper-type fighter in the UFC, although not really being enough of a freak to last with the current cream of the crop.
Speaking of hard Russians, what's Kharitonov up to these days?
Overeem by Roid Rage.
Seems a bit suspicious the fact he's calling Overoids out, just after the Dutchman announced he will be fighting in the K1 grand Prix again.
Fedor's more than capable of KO'ing or submitting anyone but i just think this would be a bad matchup for him. The Russian's past his best while Overoids is just hitting his peak.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Overeem's best wins on his big comeback tour are Fujita and Buentello. Not to disrespect those gentlemen, but it should take more than wins over them to get you ranked as a top 10 heavyweight.
