I am going to BJJ. Bills piled up so I had to stop. But I will start up again in January. I like all grappling. Sumo looks like fun. Also love that there is a sport that I am a lightweight in :)

Velocity diet, dance dance revolution and martial arts. Trust me, You'll lose the weight and boost your stamina. Don't forget to supplement too. Save up some cash then go back to bjj. But for now go play king of the hill

This has nothing to do with weight at all. I wish people would STFU about weight. I am 6'6 285. So a sport where I am considered small if funny. At my current weight I can still do BJJ. I wrestled in high school, have done some Judo and wrestled through out high school. Sumo looks like A LOT of fun. After I am done with BJJ, I will go do sumo.

No man not about the weight at all, i'm 5'9" at 220 pounds. I'm technically fatter. I used to be 340 . It seemed to me like you were implying that your too big for other arts and That's why you are choosing sumo.you said that in sumo at least you won't be a heavyweight. Sorry if you thought i was shitting on you. It's just how i lost my weight. Sorry

It was a joke. a 6'6 285lbs guy isnt normally a lightweight. There are guys in sumo twice my size. I am very rarely shadowed by somebody.

Ok cool . I miss understood you. I still can't find anything solid for sumo though. I found 4 here in canada, That's 4 in the whole country! Why not get into sport Judo in the meantime? I'm pretty sure there are some cheap dojos around. Just to keep the wrestling in your blood

I know it's not too helpful for you west coast gents, but Yoshisada Yonezuka (9th-dan in Judo) runs Sumo classes out here in Jersey out of his dojo, Cranford Judo & Karate Center.

Notable veterans of the class include Emmanuel Yarborough: Guinness World Record holder (for Largest Athlete), amateur Sumo world champ, and receiver of a Keith Hackney beatdown.

    Ninja beats sumo.

Sounds more like Rochambeau than a UFC fight.
