Alright buddy. Hope you enjoy my hometown (assuming you'll even be in Providence).

With regard to Don "Donde Did My Belt Come From" Perkins, does anyone know donde he might have gone? I'm just curious if he's packed up and moved his shenanigans to Connecticut or Massachusetts.

EWAF as it relates to grappling? I suppose I can understand applying the concept to grappling, but that is most certainly not standard BJJ philosophy. I really wish a bullshido member could have evaluated his skills, it is possible that Mr. Perkins did have some legitimate skills and appeared (from Mr. Harding's letter) to be a dedicated instructor. Still, it's no excuse for falsifying rank and misleading people with his fight record.

Hopefully he will come on the site and shed some light on the matter, but I doubt it.

A fellow blue belt at Tim Burrill's trained there. He was looking for a place closer to where he lived, so he checked it out. Needless to say, he reported that the instruction wasn't very good. As far as having legitimate skills, even if he rolled at a low blue belt level he would appear well versed to an untrained student. I'm a blue belt, and not a very good one compared to the blues at my school, yet I destroy every soldier I train with during our combatives training, and they think I'm some sort of monster.

-edit- also, the funny thing is that there's no need to falsify rank if you're a good teacher. We have blue belts who teach classes, and even run their own schools. Sure, you're not learning from a black belt, but even a good blue belt has a wealth of knowledge for a newbie.
