COL should realize that they only way they will ever be the 'masters of their lives' is if they leave. You cannot claim control of your life if you are being told: where to sleep, what to eat, what to wear, how to look, who to marry, what job to take, what car to drive, what to study, what to believe, how to vote, etc. A sign of maturity is the ability to make responsible decisions for yourself. The longer you stay with kim, the more of your life slips away.

The school and the cult no longer had much of a net presence. Except for Parokour videos (by JP) and occasional old clips from SAK and EAS there have been very little or no current interaction. Even AG got married and has a new life (and was never really on here). The books are not selling. Northstar is gone. Yes they still have old episodes online of TYK's show, highlighting Rudy, from around 1992. Hopefully we can update this and post some wikipedia. You guys tried and so did I. It seems there is a block on 'anything from jung suwon or tae yun kim'. So wiki doesn't want to deal with you...or them. Feel free to continue posting reviews, and welcome ex students to post reviews. After all, it's been years for any of us. (in or out of the inner circle).

TYK has likely been directly effected by negative publicity from this and other sites.

It will be a new year of freedom!

And maybe RC (the woman that worked for AG) or someone can answer this one. Did Lighthouse ever go IPO and if so, did they get back off being public? How far really is their international reach today?

I have looked at the Jung Suwon website, and find it interesting there is a very old video of TYK at some event even before my time training with her. It is faded to the point that it is almost unviewable.. Yes, Kitty Ki, all these videos are from many years ago. SHS, MBF, and others are in their prime. Now apparently, JSW is recruiting very young kids...vulnerable and impressionable...and an occasional adult.
I wonder what will happen once TYK passes on. Will JSW disintegrate or will someone ...perhaps that young master JP, her chosen one..pick up the pieces and revitalize it?

As far as Lighthouse et al, I have no idea. But at least there won't be some crazy lady at technology events running around with a phallus shaped flute anymore.

It took me quite a few years to get the stink of my association with LWS off of me. Even about 7 years after the first installation, I had people asking me about the silly woman who wore red mini-skirts to Semicon West, carrying the flute and why I had done business with them. I tried to get SHS to stage manage her better as she was embarrassing herself, her company, and her customers with her unprofessional behavior. I still remember DP complaining that I wasn't grateful enough for all that they did for me.

I know DP is out of there now, so I can excuse his comment at the time due to being brainwashed.

However - TYK did a lot for - or rather TO you, and none of it was nice.

Hi Shadow. Found 'Chica' on the Facebook, (yours), as 'Kal Kat', said hello and don't freak. Hope she doesn't mind. I have been moved by all the stories and thought to thank you all for coming out, and that it had made a difference, and even black belts have left. Also indicated I would not be posting anything from this site anywhere else, including the old threads you guys commented on, just in case she thought there was some way of tracing it back to JSW, which there isn't because I'm not there anymore. Also there are no JSW people as friends at Kal Kat, (formerly called the Jane Piedmont site). I know you guys didn't want to tee off EAS because you wanted to keep it cordial after all this, so I didn't say anything about EAS.

However, JSW could come here again and look around. I cannot stop them from doing that. The Kitty Ki site is pretty secure and there is anonymity, but here is more fun. They call this 'thread necromancy'. Lol.

And even though TYKs books are still on Amazon and there is a Northstar web site, all seem to be old. The Youtube channels are from 2009 latest, except for some Parkour stuff in 2010.

And WH said Hi. (on Facebook).

And JJ Halpin said Hi on the Kal Kat show web site on YouTube, which does not show any JSW stuff per privacy requests.

I remember seeing a conference they were proud of one evening in class where they joked about then Mayor Willie Brown's penis. I was like, what the heck? Oh, that's so going to get you 'in' with the crowd at the conference, TYYK. Go ahead and talk about penises (not only that, implying because he was of a certain race he was larger than most, like she knows?). Whatever works.

They have student of the week listed as RD. He must have come back. He was that big kid with red hair that sounded a bit like Pete McHugh but was of no relation. He used to go to my home church. Looks like their site has fallen on hard times. It's also possible JP is off at college and can't maintain it anymore.
