Just an observation - that propaganda blurb that JustSayNo posted is rife with spelling and other errors, and there are a few on her TYKFashions site also.
I won't point them out, I'll just let them agonize over it. Guess they can't afford a proofreader.

Bemused.... that is masterful! Oh wait... I'm assuming this is a parody and that she didn't actually say it (though I would't truly put it past her).

My first comment, with more to follow, is that kimmee never sat on a bench for a month waiting to get permission to teach martial arts. This BS story is straight out of the Kung Fu series of thirty years ago, when David Carradine, playing Caine, sought to be a student of the Shaolin monastery.

Would the person who put this blurb together please use spellcheck? It didn't take me long to find a few errors, which of course, detracts from the credibility of this article

This journey back to Vermont by TYK to visit her so called humble beginnings....
The trailer looks in remarkably good condition after forty some odd years as does the bench.
The story told in this article differs from other versions I have heard from kimmee and others.....

She never scrubbed toilets nor floors/ She worked as a car salesperson in Burlington but was harassed by the owner's son... but she also sold more cars than anyone else in the agency/she never mentioned living in a trailer nor sitting on a bench in any other version of her story/her husband at the time owned a cleaning business which burned down along with the dojang in the building....which raises the question of how she was able to save all her certificates and those of her husband from the fire.....

I could go back and take a picture of the hospital I was born in, the houses I lived in as a child, the room where I first started playing the piano (the actual piano is long gone), the dorm rooms I lived in while in college, the first tech company that hired me as a writer, the room in which I met my husband, etc. Almost any location has meaning to someone. So what? Ms. Sommers is treating these scenes from Kimmie's life, whether true or not, like holy sites in Jerusalem.

You echo my thoughts Bemused...I was thinking that kimmee's followers might be required to venerate the places and objects of their master's earlier life. Just as we had to carry pictures of her on our keychains (I refused to), perhaps pictures of these places might be made into holy cards for her disciples to meditate on.

I'm just wondering why kimmie didn't find one of the chopsticks she used to feed her master strawberries that she fed him after walking 20 miles through the snow to buy with money she had saved for years from working in the homes of nobles who had scoffed at the prophecies of her greatness.

Just as a FYI - the blogger states they are on Coumadin - for tendonitis and arthritis. If that's the "shot" they were given, find another physician or exsanguinate. Coumadin is a blood thinner......perhaps the right medication might be Cortisone, but that's just my observation.
