If you need a kurkta and shoes, the ASA is currently out of stock. However, you can purchase a jacket and shoes through the Canadian Combat Sambo Federation:

Thanks, Steve! I can't wait to see you and the rest of the crew in November. I am trying to get people jazzed about this. This is a chance to see and compete in probably the best jacket grappling rule set out there. Thanks again for coming back to Texas. Any word on who all is bringing teams? Are Gregg and Aaron coming down with their guys?

So far we are getting great feedback (you can now RSVP and forward the new facebook event page too). I have heard from Aaron...he will bring a team from Seattle, my team will be there of course, Reilly's team from Mezger's school and Faixa Preta MMA, Doug Fournet's team from Louisiana, Carlos Cummings team from Florida. I have also gotten many inquiries from various clubs in texas...even one in Alaska! ECS will have a team obviously. Even Coach Josh from bullshido contacted me with intentions of attending. I think this may be our biggest tourny yet.

I think that promotion is fucking awesome. I fear men in shorts. What if I showed up with the top and nothing on underneath?

Due to some unforseen circumstances, we needed to change our event location. It actually worked out very well and we have secured a great new facility for our event. Please make note that the event WILL NOT be held at the Central Texas Performing Arts Center. We will now be hosting our event at the Austin Sports Center(Cedar Park).

New Hotel information will be coming soon.

Re: Hotels. Visit the Austin Sports Center website and view partner hotels.

I am also very happy to announce that this year, M1-Global has been generous to donate 4 all access passes to their upcoming December 11th M1 Challenge XXII at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ (date subject to change). Titles will be on the line as M1 Selection Champions from around the world will do battle for the M1 Challenge championship belts!

The ASA will award one all access pass to the following award winners at this years North American Freestyle Sambo Championships:

    1) Fastest submission
    2) Match of the day (determined by event officials)
    3) Best throw (determined by event officials)
    4) First technical victory (First technical victory, or largest point differential)
